| The Spirit of
Allegany County is an Aerostar 105 hot air balloon made completely in Sioux
Falls, SD. It was designed by renowned Vermont artist Sabra Field and
beautifully depicts the hills and valleys of Allegany County. The
lower portion depicts one of Allegany County's lakes, complete with
sailboats. The fabric of the lake is silver Mylar which reflects a
beautiful golden hue in the early and late day sun.
The Spirit
of Allegany County began its "Celebration of Life in Allegany
County" tour in February 2002, visiting cites, attractions and events
throughout the northeastern United States.
